Terms of service

These terms cover what we agree to do for a paying business, what we ask in return, and what happens when either side wants to stop. They describe the platform accurately; the wording still needs a solicitor’s eye before you rely on it.

Draft — not yet reviewed by a solicitor

This document describes how the platform actually works, which is the part only we can write. It has not been checked by a qualified lawyer and it is not legal advice. Sections marked below need professional input before launch. See src/config/legal.ts.

What we provide

A Parade subscription entitles your business to a set number of placements in your city’s weekly edition each billing month, a listing in the Parade directory, and a monthly performance report drawn from our own delivery and click logs.

The number of placements, the formats available to you, and the number of offers you may run at once are set by your plan and stated on the pricing page at the time you subscribe.

What we don’t promise

We do not guarantee any commercial outcome. We guarantee delivery of the placements your plan includes, and we report what happened. We make no representation about bookings, sales, footfall or revenue.

Our reach is limited by the number of subscribers to your city’s edition, which we publish and which varies over time.

Editorial control

All submissions are subject to our promotion policy. We may decline to publish material, or require changes, at our discretion. Where we decline a submission and you do not wish to amend it, we will refund the affected month.

We reserve the right to remove a listing or placement if we become aware of conduct that would damage readers’ trust in the guide.

Your responsibilities

  • The information you supply about your business must be accurate, and you must have the right to use any images you provide.
  • Any offer you publish must be honoured on the terms stated for its stated period.
  • You must comply with applicable advertising law, including the CAP Code and consumer protection legislation.
  • You must not submit material for a business you do not own or represent.

Payment and renewal

Needs a solicitor’s review

Subscriptions are paid in advance by card and renew automatically until cancelled. Monthly plans renew monthly; annual plans renew yearly.

If a payment fails we will attempt to take it again and contact you. Placements are paused if the payment is not settled within the grace period stated in your dashboard.

Cancellation

You may cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; placements already contracted for that period still run.

You may instead pause your subscription for up to 3 months, during which you are not billed and no placements are scheduled.

Liability

Needs a solicitor’s review

PLACEHOLDER. Limitation of liability, indemnity and exclusion clauses must be drafted by a qualified solicitor for your jurisdiction and your insurance position. Do not publish this section as it stands.

Governing law

Needs a solicitor’s review

PLACEHOLDER. These terms are intended to be governed by the law of England and Wales, with the courts of England & Wales having exclusive jurisdiction. Confirm with your solicitor.
